I'm the Head of Technology for the NCA's National Cyber Crime Unit.
We support operations for investigations into cyber crime. That involves working on the technical side of investigations, finding intelligence and evidence and also analysing criminal activity on the internet, especially involving malware.
We work in quite a specialist area so a number of the people who work with us have very specific cyber skills, but we also employ software developers, infrastructure engineers – the opportunities are numerous. It's a large and diverse organisation and so there's a real need for all different types of technical skill and knowledge.
Technology will have a profound and transformational effect on the way the agency and law enforcement does business over the coming five years, so it's great to be a part of that and driving that change forward.
