Paramilitary Crime Task Force execute warrant at Belfast social club

11 June 2018

Officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force today executed a warrant at a social club in the Heather Street area of Belfast, which was suspected of continuing to trade without a licence.

The premises had previously been visited by the PCTF in February of this year, when a number of licence breaches were detected.

A restraining order, made under the Proceeds of Crime Act, was also served on the trustees of the club restraining realisable property held by them.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland, HM Revenue & Customs and the National Crime Agency have established the Paramilitary Crime Taskforce to tackle criminality linked to paramilitarism as part of the Executive’s action plan on tackling paramilitary activity, criminality and organised crime.
